Facing the sea 🌊, a stone house with blue hydrangeas 💙 has watched over the horizon for generations. At nightfall, when the sky darkens and the salty wind rises, Mamm Rozenn, “Grandma Rozenn” in Breton, lights the fire again 🔥. In the pan, butter and sugar begin to sing softly.

Around her, the children listen. The salted butter caramel 🍯🧈 fills the room, thick, warm and reassuring. In the old days, she used to say, this scent was a signal. It rose into the air to tell sailors that an inhabited coast was waiting for them, that a refuge still existed.

This candle is a night vigil. A light in the dark. The scent of coming home ⚓. As long as it lingers in a house, it reminds us that there is always a harbour to return to. La Veillée Salée means “the salty vigil”.

🌸 Olfactory notes

Top notes: salted butter caramel 🍬 rises straight away, rich and enveloping, like a sweet treat melting by the fire. Heart notes: coconut 🥥 brings a soft, milky roundness, mellowing the indulgence and recalling the warmth of a family kitchen. Base notes: a milk accord 🥛 extends the feeling of comfort, leaving a soft, creamy trail in the air, like the sea after the storm.
