✨ Description

Where the Pont-l’Abbé river meets the sea 🌊, feared rocks rise from the water. They are called les Perdrix, “the Partridges”. One misty evening, above these reefs, a small light appeared, like a sign, like a promise 🔥.

To protect the sailors, a turret was raised on the Perdrix, then a one-of-a-kind lighthouse, black and white, recognisable among all others 🖤🤍. Even the sea, they say, knew how to find it.

Threatened with being forgotten, the guardian was saved by those it had once guided. Today, though it no longer lights the way for ships, it still watches over the estuary ✨. And when evening falls 🌙, it reminds sailors that beyond the Perdrix, home is near ⚓. La Gardienne à Damier means “the chequered guardian”.

🌸 Olfactory notes

Top notes: sea fennel 🌿 and lotus 🌸 bring a salty, luminous freshness. Heart notes: a marine accord 🌊 blends with lily of the valley and rose 🌹, soft and soothing.
Base notes: cedar, sandalwood and musk 🌲 wrap the air in a woody, reassuring warmth.
