Some lights go unnoticed, except by those who come home late. Every evening, when the wind turns and the horizon fades, the keeper climbs the steps one by one and lights the lamp.
She doesn't know the names of the boats she guides. She only knows that somewhere, someone is waiting for them to come home. The fragrance holds all of this: the iodine of the rock, the damp freshness of morning and the worn wood of the handrail she has always touched.

Outside, the wind is busy with the shutters. Inside, the chairs are pulled up to the table, someone is telling a story for the hundredth time and nobody interrupts.
On the stove, the sugar slowly darkens, the salted butter makes its entrance, and the whole house smells the same. That precise moment is what we wanted to capture in wax: the moment you no longer want to go home at all.

The cake was always too hot, and we went for it anyway. A cut in the golden crust, a few crumbs falling onto the oilcloth, a knowing look pretending not to see.
Butter, vanilla, sweet milk, praline. Nothing complicated, and yet it's that smell that stays, years later, when you think back to childhood Sundays in Brittany.

Made in Loctudy, not elsewhere 📍
Many “Breton” souvenirs come from very far away. Ours are poured a few hundred metres from the harbour.
One workshop, two makers, small batches
The wax is melted, carefully scented, poured slowly and left to rest as long as it needs. Every candle is then checked by hand before leaving the workshop.
We work in small batches, which can sometimes lead to slight variations from one piece to another. That's the signature of handmade, and we cherish it.

We use plant-based wax, chosen for its gentle burn and good fragrance release. The fragrances come from Grasse, the historic capital of perfumery, and the wicks are chosen according to the container.

Does a candle travel well in a suitcase?
Yes, as long as you keep it away from direct heat and wrap it in clothing to cushion it. If you're travelling light, scented wax melts are an excellent alternative: lighter, less fragile, same fragrance.
What's the difference between a candle and a scented wax melt?
A candle burns with its own flame and releases its fragrance gradually. A wax melt is melted in a burner, with no flame on the scented wax, and scents a room faster and more strongly. We offer both in the same Breton fragrances.
Can I order once I'm back home?
