🔥 About our candles
1. Are your candles handmade?
Yes, all our candles are 100% handcrafted, carefully hand-poured in our workshop. Each piece is unique.
2. What type of wax do you use?
We use only 100% vegetable wax (soy, rapeseed, or coconut, depending on the model), which is biodegradable, non-toxic, and GMO-free. This ensures a clean and longer burn. The wick is made of untreated maple wood, fixed to a lead-free metal base. The flame is stable and centered for even melting.
3. Where do your perfumes come from?
Our perfumes are created in Grasse, the world capital of perfume. They are guaranteed free of CMR substances (carcinogenic, mutagenic, or toxic) and phthalates (endocrine disruptors).
4. Are the candles vegan and cruelty-free?
Absolutely. No animal-derived ingredients, and no animal testing.
5. Do you offer personalized candles?
Yes! You can personalize the perfume, the container, and even add a label with a name or message. Perfect for gifts or events (weddings, baptisms, etc.).

6. How can I make my candle last longer?
- Allow the wax to melt evenly to the rim of the container on first use. (+/- 2 hours)
- Trim the wick to 0.5 cm before each lighting.
- Do not leave burning for more than 3-4 hours at a time.
7. What should I do if my candle is emitting black smoke?
This can happen if the wick is too long. Trim it slightly before relighting.
8. Can I reuse the container?
Yes! Once the candle is finished, clean the jar with warm soapy water. You can reuse it as a pencil holder, plant pot, or for other decorations.

Yes, from the wax to the packaging, we choose sustainable, recyclable, or reusable materials. Our production is in small batches to avoid waste.
14. How do I recycle my candle once it's finished?
- Retrieve the container
- Dispose of the wick and residue in your green or household waste.
- Reuse or recycle the glass/jar

15. Do you have gift cards?
Yes, available in several amounts. You receive them directly by email with a code to use online.
Gift card terms and conditions
- The gift card is valid only on our online store Les Fondeurs d'Histoires.
- It can be used in one or more installments, up to the available balance.
- If the order amount exceeds the gift card balance, the difference can be paid with another payment method accepted in the store.
- Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash or resold.
- They are non-refundable, unless otherwise provided by law.
- In case of loss or theft, the gift card code cannot be replaced.
- The gift card is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
- Promotions and discounts do not apply to the purchase of a gift card.
