A true story between Loctudy and Île-Tudy
For years, the tower guided sailors between Île-Tudy and Loctudy. It was part of the landscape, almost part of the family. Then one day, it was announced that it was no longer needed and that its light would be removed.
The news shocked everyone. “You don't destroy what protected you,” said the locals. The two towns then joined forces to save the keeper. Repaired and restored, it has stayed true to its old appearance.
Today, although it no longer guides shipping, it still watches over the estuary ✨. And when evening falls 🌙, it reminds sailors that beyond the Perdrix, home is near ⚓.
