A handmade candle inspired by a real Breton cake

In our workshop, every creation is born from a story. For Les Miettes Dorées, it all starts with an image: a warm kitchen, golden pastry coming out of the oven, and that unique scent between milk, lemon and praline.

The fragrance was designed like a three-course tasting, for a gradual, enveloping scent throw:

• Top notes: warm milk, lemon and praline for a bright, gourmand opening
• Heart notes: coconut and melting butter, recalling the texture of Breton cake
• Base notes: soft vanilla for a round, comforting trail

A Breton legend at the heart of the creation

They say that long ago, near the Penglaouic menhir, travellers would glimpse golden crumbs guiding their steps through the mist. Some saw it as the work of the night washerwomen, Breton fairies; others as a trace left by the invisible kitchens of the Land of Ys, the legendary sunken city.

Les Miettes Dorées draws on these tales: not to tell a fixed fairy tale, but as a reminder that some fragrances don't lead to a place… they lead to a memory. Lighting this candle means letting in a piece of that gentle, timeless inner Brittany.
