How are our scented candles made?

At Les fondeurs d'histoires, every candle has a story.
Behind every flickering flame lie hours of work, selection, testing… and above all: a lot of love .

Today, we are opening the doors of our workshop to show you how our scented candles are made , from the wax to the wick, including the carefully chosen fragrances.

🕯️ 1. Choosing the wax: vegetable, natural, responsible

We have chosen to use a vegetable wax (soy, rapeseed or coconut) , guaranteed free of paraffin and toxic substances.

For what ?

• 🔸 It's healthier for the home
• 🔸 It lasts longer
• 🔸 It allows for better fragrance diffusion
• 🔸 It is biodegradable and eco-friendly

💡 We make no compromises on the quality of raw materials, to guarantee you a clean and safe combustion.

🌿 2. Perfumes: a meticulous, sometimes exclusive selection

Each scent in our collection is the result of a true compositional process .

We collaborate with French perfumers to develop perfumes:

• Subtle but present
• Who move pleasantly around the room
• Free from CMR substances and phthalates

Indulgent, woody, or comforting fragrances…
Each candle tells a story of an atmosphere , a memory , an emotion .

🧪 3. The tests: yes, we burn dozens of candles

Before a perfume is approved, it goes through several stages:

• 💡 Cold and hot diffusion tests
• 🔥 Combustion tests (duration, smoke, wick…)
• 📏 Checking the weight and how well it fits in the container

Our goal: to create a candle that truly perfumes , without being overpowering, and that burns evenly.

✋ 4. Hand-pouring: a handcrafted production

Each candle is hand-poured in our workshop , in small batches. This allows us to:

• Check the quality of each part
• Adjust the dosages according to the weather or the wax
• Keep a human touch in every candle

This is what makes it different from industrial production.
Here, each candle is unique .

🧵 5. The finishing touches: wick, label, box

Particular attention is paid to detail :

• The strand is cut by hand , centered, and tested.
• The container is cleaned , inspected , and then labeled.
• The entire set is carefully packaged, sometimes in a gift box ready to give.

🛒 And then what? Head home (or under the Christmas tree 🎄)

Our candles are then shipped in secure, recyclable packaging , with a card revealing the story that inspired your candle and a small handwritten note.

Because we want every package opening to be a little celebration ✨
