How to use a wax melt burner

Scented wax melts have become a true wellness ritual, elegantly and gently perfuming your home. Unlike candles, they don't require a wick: they melt gently on a wax warmer to release an intense and long-lasting fragrance.
But how do you use them properly to fully enjoy their magic? Here are all our tips to get the most out of your wax melt burner.

🔥 1. Choosing the right melt burner

There are two main types of burners:

• Classic tea light candle burners : made of ceramic or glass, they work with a small tea light candle placed in the lower part.
• Electric burners : more modern, they heat the wax using a gentle resistance, without a flame.

Choose a quality burner, with sufficient height between the flame and the upper bowl (approximately 10 cm), so that the wax melts slowly and diffuses its fragrance without overheating.

🌸 2. Add the correct amount of fondant

No need to fill the burner!
Place one or half a wax melt in the bowl, depending on its size . Once melted, it will release its full aroma in just a few minutes.

💡 Tip: If you like to alternate scents, opt for individual sizes to avoid waste. Wax melts keep very well in a dry place, away from light.

🕰️ 3. Ideal broadcast duration

A wax melt can provide fragrance for between 8 and 12 hours depending on the fragrance and the burner used.
When you feel that the fragrance has faded, there is no need to continue heating it : the wax does not evaporate like a candle, it remains in place, but without odor.

👉 To change the fragrance, wait until the wax has cooled and solidified , then easily remove it from the bowl (see tip below).

💧 4. How do I remove the wax from the burner?

Two simple and effortless methods:

1. Warm (gently) : let it heat for a few seconds, then remove the softened wax disc using a cotton ball or paper towel.
2. For a cold (cleaner) finish : place the burner in the refrigerator for a few minutes. The wax will shrink and detach in one piece.

🧴 Then wipe the bowl with a soft cloth before changing the fragrance.

Even though using a burner is simple, a few rules ensure a safe and optimal experience:

• Use good quality, unscented tealight candles .
• Never leave a burning burner unattended .
• Do not place the burner near curtains, animals or children.
